Privacy Policy
Last updated: 4 August 2026
Kia ora! This is the boring-but-important page. The short version: I'm Mia, I run this site as a personal project, and I collect almost nothing about you. Here's the full story in plain English, under the Privacy Act 2020 (New Zealand).
1. What I collect
- One anonymous cookie — used only to count how many free uses you've had. It holds no name, no email, no address — just a random number.
- Server logs — the standard stuff (IP address, browser type, pages visited) that keeps the site secure and helps me spot abuse. Kept briefly, and never linked to you personally.
- Emails you send me — if you write to hello@luckiwis.nz, I'll see your address in the reply. I only use it to answer you, and I don't add it to any list.
2. What I don't collect
- No accounts, no sign-ups, no profiles.
- No name, address, phone number or payment details.
- No advertising tracking, no ad networks, no selling your data.
- Nothing about you is used to pick numbers — the Lotto lines come from public draw history, full stop.
3. Where data lives
My site is hosted by a commercial cloud provider. The Lotto data I analyse is New Zealand's public draw history. Server locations may include facilities outside New Zealand, and I rely on standard contractual safeguards when that happens.
4. Cookies
Just the one anonymous cookie mentioned above. You can clear it any time in your browser — the only effect is your free-use counter resets. I don't use advertising or third-party tracking cookies, and the cookie banner on this site says the same.
5. Your rights (Privacy Act 2020)
You have the right to ask what personal information I hold about you, to correct it, or to have it deleted. Since I hold almost nothing, this usually takes about five minutes. Email hello@luckiwis.nz and I'll sort it out within 10 working days.
6. Changes
If I ever change anything here, I'll update the date at the top. That's it — no trickery.
